Sublimation printing is a common application process of disperse dyes in the field of digital printing. It has a short process flow, easy operation, and good adaptability. However, there are also problems:poor penetrability of dyes and poor thermal migration on some sensitive fabrics. Therefore, the direct printing process came into being.
HONGSAM has launched four types of disperse ink: sublimation ink, high light fastness sublimation ink/disperse ink, high energy disperse ink, and HF type (washing-free) disperse ink. Suitable for digital printing on polyester, dyeable polyester, and polypropylene. We will focus on the following three direct printing disperse inks.
High sublimation fastness and migration fastness can effectively prevent fabric contamination during color development and storage, as well as ink migration during high-temperature stentering.
Process flow and Process Parameters
Notice:
1) Fabric pretreatment. The specific dosage needs to be adjusted according to the fineness of different fabrics and patterns. The dosage for high fineness requirements is more. Plush and carpet types do not need to be added and can be printed directly.
(2) The color development temperature needs to be adjusted according to the thickness of different fabrics.
(3) About washing. Hongsam high temperrature disperse ink generally does not need to be washed with water, but if washed with water, the color will be brighter and the color fastness will be better. The research and development of dispersed direct printing inks for digital printing has been continuously advancing, and the application process is also being continuously optimized. We hope to bring better quality products to our users through the application of dispersed direct printing inks.
2. High Light Fastness Sublimation Ink / Direct Printing Disperse Ink
Characteristics: HONGSAM high light fastness sublimation ink and disperse ink have high light fastness, relatively good migration fastness, bright colors and high saturation. It can be used as an upgraded version of thermal transfer technology or direct injection technology.
Process flow and Process Parameters
1. Sublimation printing process: print on sublimation paper → heat transfer 205~210℃ * 30~45s → finished products.
2. Direct printing process: Fabric pretreatment (direct printing disperse printing primer DP-02 10-50%) Printing → Drying → Color development (195~205℃ * 2~3min) → Washing by cold water → Washing by warm water (40~50℃) → reduction clearing → Washing by hot water → Washing by cold water → Drying → Finished products.
Notes
(1) Fabric pretreatment. The specific dosage needs to be adjusted by yourself according to the fineness of different fabrics and patterns.

(2) The color development temperature needs to be adjusted by yourself according to the thickness of different fabrics to test the appropriate temperature and time.
(3) Regarding washing, if the color is particularly deep, you can add 1-2g/L of anti-staining agent in the first hot water wash. If it is a medium-light color, there is no need for reduction cleaning and hot water washing. Cold water washing can meet the color fastness requirements. The specific needs need to be tested by yourself according to the fabric and pattern.
3. HF Type Direct Pritning Disperse Ink (Washing Free)
Characteristics of washing free disperse ink: for factories without washing equipment, or fabrics that are not suitable for washing, the requirements for rubbing color fastness can be met without washing after color development.
